PCL leverages INDUS.AI to achieve precise methodology in Toronto
- Addition of six new floors above an existing office, retail and residential building, which includes two dedicated amenity floors, a new mechanical penthouse, and structural upgrades
- A total of 495 apartments for premium rental living upon completion
- Construction of a new 32-story residential tower adjacent to the existing development
To manage costs and mitigate risks on this highly complex project, KingSett and PCL used INDUS.AI’s innovative artificial intelligence construction software with computer vision. This construction intelligence platform captures video streams and time-lapse images that enable construction professionals to oversee site activity effectively. The AI construction software also leverages the data it collects to deliver actionable insights that construction professionals can use to improve project efficiency and address threats to budget and schedule.
“Construction of 700 Bay at Gerrard has required a precise methodology to expertly tie renovations into a new tower while minimizing impact to tenants and properties along Toronto’s hospital row,” said Kelly Wallace, PCL Constructors Canada Inc. (Toronto) Vice President and District Manager.
“PCL is honored to share this milestone with our partners, subcontractors, suppliers, and over 400 workers who have all played a role in bringing KingSett’s vision for this project to life,” he concluded.
We’d like to congratulate our partners in their completion of the concrete structure for 700 Bay. We look forward to the future and the continuation of our successful partnership.
